ABOUT
Nick George, A Knight Digital Media Fellow in the Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism, is an award-winning multimedia producer and journalist.He previously worked as the Online Editor/Multimedia Producer at The Chronicle in Centralia, Washington, where he produced in-depth multimedia stories on the area’s major flooding problems and covered a wide variety of other Pacific Northwest issues.
Nick earned a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia before moving west to work at The World Newspaper in Coos Bay, Oregon. He has received numerous awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Press Photographers Association. As a Knight Fellow, Nick produced Agony of the Aftermath, an award-winning, in-depth multimedia project examining the Chehalis River flood and its ongoing impact on the community.
